The Africa Brand Summit is a regional event that will be hosted annually in various African cities - following successful 'host city" bid adjudication. This annual event was established in late 2016 and inaugurated in May 2018. It aims to interrogate Africa's evolving brand image, things that inform perceptions about it, and to suggest ways to make it more attractive for FDI, leisure and business tourists, critial skills from around the world and a whole basket of other foreign exchange earning opportunities. Our analysis looks at individual countries, regions, and the continent as a whole. SA Chief Justice Mogoeng-Mogoeng delivered the first keynote address in 2018, followed by SA Auditor-General Kimi Makwetu at the 2019 event, in Sandton. Kenyan Professor Patrick Loch Otieno Lumumba, will deliver the keynote address in 2020.
