Gopuff, CitrusAd, Epsilon | August 24, 2022 | Read time : 08:00 min

First Retail Media Network
Gopuff, the go-to platform for immediate delivery of consumers’ everyday needs, today announced the expansion of its retail media network for full shopper journey campaigns. Gopuff Ads, the first instant ad platform, is the first retail media network to roll out the highly anticipated off-site capabilities of CitrusAd, powered by Epsilon. The unified approach builds on Gopuff Ads’ initial integration with CitrusAd, enabling brands to reach not only Gopuff site visitors, but also the entirety of Gopuff's shopper audience across the open web with timely and relevant advertising.

Daniel Folkman, SVP of Business at Gopuff said, "As the first instant ad platform, we are bringing advertisers closer to their desired audience by collapsing the marketing funnel from impression to consumption in 30 minutes. Now, Gopuff Ads’ expansion into off-site media with CitrusAd - powered by Epsilon’s first-party purchase and future intent data - delivers amplified, relevant reach for our brand partners. We look forward to introducing this enhanced and streamlined capability to our partners.”

Gopuff, which has the unparalleled ability to transform an ad impression to consumption in minutes, is also expanding on-site ad inventory beyond sponsored products and search to include relevant sponsored product carousels - all managed and measured on the full-scope platform. Brands leveraging Gopuff Ads are seeing ROIs as high as 430%. Platform revenue grew nearly 170% YoY in July as active products more than doubled onsite.

With these enhancements, brands can influence consumers at the point of purchase with on-site advertising, while also generating demand across the open web by reaching Gopuff customers with relevant, off-site display, video and connected TV advertising tied directly to in-stock inventory. Brands are also able to understand their ad performance through SKU-level sales reporting that combines both on-site and off-site campaigns.

CitrusAd's on-site and Epsilon's off-site retail media capabilities were recognized as a Leader and a Strong Performer, respectively, by Forrester Research, Inc. in “The Forrester Wave™: Sell-Side Retail Media Solutions, Q3 2021”. CitrusAd, powered by Epsilon, was launched by Publicis Groupe in June as the first unified self-serve, retail media platform in a single user interface.

“When companies like Gopuff make the decision to unify on-site and off-site media capabilities as a one-stop shop, they will grow advertiser adoption, revenues and site traffic. Through CitrusAd’s easy to use self-service, white-label platform, full-funnel Gopuff Ads campaigns can now easily be managed by brands under one roof to expand audience reach and attract new customers,” said David Haase, CEO of CitrusAd Americas.

Majority of Canadian Consumers Likely to Engage with Enhanced Connected TV Ad Formats

Business Wire | July 28, 2023

LG Ad Solutions, a global leader in connected TV and cross-screen advertising, today released the findings of a new study that found that 84% of Canadian viewers like enhanced ads, and more than half (52%) will engage with them. Enhanced ads are Connected TV ads that include dynamic QR codes, change messaging based on time of day, are location specific or use weather to trigger relevant creative. The majority of Canadian consumers (69%) are likely to engage with enhanced ads that show real-time sports scores or a countdown to games/events and team match-ups. In fact, enhanced ads with sports-related dynamic content are the most likely to improve brand favorability and purchase intent, with one in three viewers reporting a positive impact. LG Ad Solutions surveyed more than 650 Canadian consumers who owned a connected TV in February 2023 to understand the value of enhanced ads and viewer preferences and attitudes towards them. The study, titled “Enhanced Ads: The Actionable Format,” also found: One in two viewers are likely to engage with weather-triggered enhanced ads, and 69% like the idea of ads that factor in weather. More than three-quarters (78%) of viewers like the idea of ads that provide closest store locations. Further, one in three viewers is likely to be favorable towards local extension enhanced ads. Enhanced ads with QR codes had the lowest level of engagement at 43%, noting that QR codes lacking a clear call-to-action suffer in engagement. However, when done effectively, one in three viewers are likely to be favorable towards QR-enhanced ads and one in three are likely to purchase brands that use QR-enhanced ads. Interactive ads are popular with viewers, as 62% prefer interactive ads to static or regular video ads. Contextual ads were also popular with viewers, as 77% liked ads that take into consideration the context in which the ad is being viewed. "The results of this study reinforce the desire among consumers to have a more personalized advertising experience, receiving information that is timely and relevant to them,” said Jason Randall, Country Manager, Vice President of Sales, Canada, LG Ad Solutions. “Unlike traditional television, Connected TV provides brands a way to give viewers the experience they’re looking for and help drive better brand engagement through more interactive and compelling advertising content.” For more information on LG Ad Solutions and to download the full study, please visit https://lgads.tv/resource/canada-enhanced-ads-study/ About LG Ad Solutions LG Ad Solutions is a global leader in connected TV and cross-screen advertising, helping brands find hard-to-get unduplicated reach at optimal frequency across the fragmented streaming TV landscape. Anzu & IAS Launch First-to-Market Measurement Solution to Validate 3D In-Game Media Quality

Integral Ad Science | July 13, 2023

Anzu, the most advanced intrinsic in-game advertising solution, and Integral Ad Science (IAS), a leading global media measurement and optimisation platform, have announced the launch of the industry’s first solution that measures viewability and invalid traffic (IVT) across 2D and 3D gaming environments and tracks them within the IAS signal platform. Gamers play two or more hours of video games every single day, so the need to monitor media quality has never been more important. This next step in intrinsic in-game ad measurement provides advertisers with additional trust and confidence when investing in-game. Last July, Anzu and IAS launched an in-game measurement solution for mobile environments. This new solution builds on its previous offering, working across programmatic and direct buys for display and video ads, and spans mobile, PC, and console gaming platforms. Last year marked a considerable step forward in establishing intrinsic in-game advertising as a recognised ad format with the release of the updated intrinsic in-game advertising guidelines from the IAB and MRC. IAS and Anzu’s new offering was created with these guidelines/standards in mind. “When founding Anzu, we knew that for in-game to succeed, advertisers would need a robust and transparent way to measure their success and be able to compare it to other mediums, which is why this area has been a core focus for us as a business from day one,” said Ben Fenster, co-founder and CPO, at Anzu. “It’s been great to work together with IAS on this first-to-market solution which marks a significant step forward in how measurement is done within the in-game advertising space.” “We know that gaming is one of the most compelling environments for advertisers because consumers bring passion, focus, and dedication when they are playing,” said Yannis Dosios, chief commercial officer at IAS. “Our expanded partnership with Anzu brings IAS’s powerful viewability and invalid traffic measurement products to in-game 3D settings for the first time, demonstrating our leadership in the gaming space while providing marketers with even greater levels of transparency and actionable data to deliver results for their campaigns.” In addition to this launch, earlier this year, Anzu was granted a patent by the United States Patent and Trademark Office for its innovative ad-tracking technology, compliant with new in-game advertising standards and third-party brand safety solutions. Anzu was also recently awarded Best Use Of Emerging Media at the Digiday Media Buying and Planning Awards for an in-game campaign with the iconic fashion brand Levi’s. About Integral Ad Science Integral Ad Science (IAS) is a global leader in digital media quality.
