With creative ad optimization subjected to user biases such as preferences for strong headlines, graphics, colors, etc., Albert AI technology, owned by Zoomd, provides genuine creative optimization based on real-time creative performance across goods, advertising, campaigns, and market segments.

Even with the recent development of technologies like Chat GPT-4, ad production is likely to be the last aspect of marketing to gain from AI-powered technology. Due to the subjectivity used by individuals while optimizing commercials, the optimization of ad creatives is now well suited for AI technology.

An e-commerce business hired Albert AI intending to improve return on ad spend (ROAS) by 500%, a goal Albert's team thought was achievable. Instead, Albert's ROAS increased by 800% a few months after the onboarding process was completed. In subsequent years, the same e-commerce business, now in its fourth year of working with Albert, is still achieving gains in ROAS between 10 and 20%.

Albert optimized the ad creative for this e-commerce firm by developing the best-performing advertisements for each target category and ad platform/channel. In addition, its technology makes the most excellent ad possible by picking the finest photos, colors, fonts, and texts to provide the most cost-effective results for the target demographic. Finally, Albert's system was able to decide when to refresh and then modify ads to maximize ROAS.

The technology employs AI to generate advertisements that improve campaign performance, including keyword, platform, audience, and device selection and bidding, as well as creative optimization spanning search, display, social, and cross-channel.

GumGum Announces Industry’s First 100% Brand Safe Ad Exchange

GumGum | March 20, 2023

GumGum, a contextual first, global advertising platform, announced that starting immediately, all impressions running on GumGum’s ad exchange will now have enhanced brand safety protection through Verity™, GumGum’s proprietary and accredited contextual intelligence platform. Verity is already integrated and applied across GumGum’s PMPs and media business. With this upgrade, GumGum becomes the first 100% brand-safe exchange and is the only direct marketplace that incorporates brand safety on every impression. Advertisers typically add brand safety layers on their own through a pre-bid solution or their own safety filters. However, GumGum believes it is their responsibility to ensure supply-side safety by integrating an additional layer of protection in its exchange with Verity. Verity is the first independent ad tech platform to have been granted content-level accreditation by the Media Rating Council (MRC) for contextual analysis, brand safety, and suitability across the web and CTV. This accreditation was granted due to Verity’s sophistication and ability to analyse all content signals within a digital environment, including text, images, videos, and audio, to ensure ads are not served against extreme and unsafe content. “We want brands and agencies to know that when they buy from GumGum’s ad exchange, they can always rely on brand safety and suitability protection, whether that’s through our exchange or PMP activity. Buyers can be assured that every ad we serve has been verified by Verity, creating a safe ad environment against extreme content,” said Adam Schenkel, EVP of global platform strategy & operations at GumGum. “Further, we want publishers to feel confident that we are an additional layer of support in ensuring their content is driving the greatest monetisation from our platform while protecting against brand safety violations.” In addition to standard display and video placements from top publishers, GumGum’s ad exchange quickly unlocks exclusive inventory using standard formats that are cost-efficient and can be easily scaled through GumGum’s DSP partners, such as The Trade Desk, Xandr, and Google Display & Video 360. Any media buyer has the ability to access unique, high-performing inventory that is exclusive to GumGum through a DSP without a managed deal or campaign by GumGum account teams. The exchange is one of the industry's highest concentrations of direct-to-publisher integrations, enabling the company to provide the most direct route to premium, high-quality inventory for media buyers. “Every brand has its own suitability thresholds but safety is more black and white. If we have the capability to remove unsafe inventory that advertisers don’t want to advertise against from the onset, why wouldn’t we do that?” said Phil Schraeder, CEO of GumGum. “We see a tremendous growth opportunity with our ad exchange and adding Verity to every ad impression is just one of many exciting things we will be doing with the exchange this year.” This solution offers higher-quality ads and increased scale across thousands of premium publisher sites that are third-party verified. To ensure quality inventory at scale and an efficient supply chain, GumGum has integrated MediaGuard by HUMAN into the exchange to remove nonhuman and fraud traffic. In addition, GumGum is integrated with NewsGuard who deploy real journalists to fact-check news publications to ensure content accuracy, reliability, and access to high-performing inventory. With a focus on inclusivity, the exchange will also allow advertisers to maximise their KPIs by targeting audiences through customised segments such as multicultural and sustainability with standard and nonstandard ad formats. GumGum will continue to develop partnerships to grow the scale of the exchange in 2023 and beyond. With a new team dedicated to the innovation and growth of the exchange, GumGum continues to commit to evolving the marketplace to suit the needs of the digital advertising industry. GumGum’s exchange is available now and accessible to agencies, advertisers and publishers across the globe interested in brand-safe and premium ad inventory. AboutGumGum GumGum is a contextual-first global digital advertising platform that captures people’s attention, without the use of personal data. We believe that a digital advertising ecosystem based on understanding a consumer’s active frame of mind rather than behaviour builds a more equitable and safer future for consumers, publishers and advertisers alike. Founded in 2008, GumGum is headquartered in Santa Monica, California and operates in 19 markets worldwide.

Pixalate Launches COPPA Compliance Toolkit for Child-Directed CTV Apps on Roku and Amazon Fire TV Stores

Pixalate | January 17, 2023

Pixalate, which is an analytics platform for fraud protection, privacy, and compliance for connected TV (CTV) and mobile advertising, has released a compliance toolkit for CTV to find and evaluate child-directed apps in the Roku and Amazon Fire TV app stores. The toolkit is designed to enable Pixalate's customers to identify, review, and assess child-directed apps that run on Roku and Amazon Fire TV in order to ensure compliance with relevant laws such as the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA). The Pixalate Trust and Safety Advisory Board, which is made up of qualified educators and led by a former FTC enforcer, looks at apps through the lens of the COPPA Rule to see if they are aimed at children. Pixalate's new toolkit gives brands, ad networks, and agencies the ability to accurately find and label apps that are made for kids. Allison Lefrak, Pixalate's senior vice president of public policy, advertising privacy, and COPPA compliance, said, "As advertisers are focusing more on programmatic Connected TV inventory, it is important for them to keep in mind that COPPA also applies in the CTV space." She further added, "Identifying which apps are child-directed and whether they are potentially risky from a COPPA compliance standpoint is crucial in avoiding hefty penalties." These manual reviews are blended with AI to assign a COPPA violation risk to over 50,000 Roku and Amazon Fire CTV apps. If a publisher or advertiser knows that a CTV app is aimed at children, they must follow COPPA, which includes getting permission from the child's parents before collecting and/or sharing personal information. About Pixalate Pixalate is the market-leading platform for fraud protection, privacy, and compliance analytics for connected TV (CTV) and mobile advertising. We work around the clock to protect your reputation and increase your media value. Pixalate is the only company that offers coordinated solutions for detecting and getting rid of ad fraud across display, app, video, and CTV. Pixalate's marketing compliance solutions include the industry's first COPPA compliance technology, which is designed to identify potential child-directed apps and online privacy compliance risks. Pixalate is an MRC-accredited service that detects and filters sophisticated invalid traffic (SIVT) on desktop and mobile web, mobile in-app, and CTV advertising.

DoubleVerify Detects First Ad Impression Fraud Scheme in Audio

DoubleVerify | February 07, 2023

DoubleVerify (DV), one of the prominent software platforms for digital media solutions, has recently detected a large-scale ad impression fraud scheme targeted to audio traffic inventory called "BeatSting". After DV’s Fraud Lab recognized the fraud family in 2019, it has stolen about 20 million dollars from advertisers, and the BeatSting platform has about one million dollars per month share in it. BeatString has been a part of server-side ad insertion (SSAI) fraud schemes, targeting connected TV (CTV) inventory since 2019. The fraudsters first spoof residential IP addresses and audio applications and set up a fake SSAI server, making false audio ad requests to attract advertisers. Then, if an advertiser from the legitimate audio channels bids on this accretive inventory and makes a profit, the money goes to them instead of the audio tracks. Although the DV Fraud Lab had already reported fraudulent attacks in 2021, the activity continued into the following year, generating fake audio traffic on audio platforms on a much larger scale. With dedicated data scientists, analysts, and mathematicians, DV's Fraud Lab detects and analyses digital ad frauds and their latest fraud schemes. It isolates the fraud applications, websites, and devices and secures DV clients in real time through continuous analysis, research, and scenario management. Chief Executive Officer at DoubleVerify, Mark Zagorski, said, "Fraud always follows the money, and increasingly, that money is flowing to digital audio, a rapidly emerging channel where digital advertising standards are still evolving." He added, "CTV continues to experience this phenomenon, and, increasingly, audio is quietly becoming a new channel of interest and attack." (Source – Business Wire) About DoubleVerify DoubleVerify (DV), an advertising service, provides digital media analytics and measurement solutions to make digital advertising systems, brands and agencies, marketplaces, and publishers more secure and preserve fair value exchange between digital media sellers and buyers. Many Fortune 500 advertisers rely on DV for unbiased data analysis, high-quality campaigns, and global advertising return on investment (ROI). It specializes in ad prominence, viewability, impression quality solutions for brand marketers, impression delivery, brand safety and fraud protection, and accountability and transparency for digital media.
