Digital advertising has seen tremendous growth in the last decade. The internet offers display and rich media advertising, (which can be viewed as an equivalent to print advertisements and television commercials), as well as new forms and techniques of advertising unique to the medium. Newer forms of digital media including mobile, in-game, digital TV, and digital outdoor are also generating exciting new opportunities for advertising. In contrast to the established conventions of traditional media, internet advertising is still in an emerging, evolving state, with further innovation and growth on the way.
