The Importance of Creatives in Facebook Advertising

In the last few years Facebook has introduced a range of machine learning technologies that have greatly simplified user acquisition for marketers. And while most of the processes (targeting settings, bidding, budgeting, etc.) have become entirely automated, ad creatives remain a key factor affecting campaign performance and are now in fact the only aspect where advertisers have some flexibility. Facebook places a huge amount of importance on visual elements, so well-crafted banners and videos can greatly increase your visibility and the chances that people will interact with your ads. However, over time even your best performing creatives will fail to catch your target audience’s attention and become costly to run.
