Apple has updated its App Store guidelines, with a new report on the matter by 9to5Mac stating that the company will now allow apps to push advertisements, promotions, and marketing material on push notifications on iOS. However, Apple has stated that while push notifications with advertisements can now be sent on iOS devices, app developers will need to offer its users with a clear option to opt out of receiving such material on notifications, and the makers of the apps will need to receive explicit permission from users before delivering ads to their devices.

Is customer experience enhanced by branding e-commerce shipping boxes?

While an entire marketing industry exists around the concept of experiential packaging and its impact on the customer experience, the focus has been mostly on inner boxes. The Wall Street Journal reports retailers are attempting to offset shipping costs by selling ad space via package inserts that are placed on the inside of boxes, but printing on the outside of shipping boxes still remains a largely untapped market. While the outside of corrugated shipper boxes has been largely ignored, that seems to be changing. Some retail giants, such as Amazon, are driving the trend of branding shipping boxes. It has been more than four years now since Amazon made headlines by plastering its shipping boxes with advertisements for the movie Minions. Amazon has continued to use its shipping boxes to promote its own products.

YouTube Will Not Show Advertising on Videos About Coronavirus

Coronavirus, which emerged in Wuhan, China, has become one of the most talked about topics in a short time. Especially on social media, many sharing and informing about Coronavirus was made. However, channels that prepare content related to Corona virus on YouTube will not be able to earn income from these videos due to the company policy. Last month, the YouTube channel Insider made a video about the Coronavirus. As of February 11, YouTube announced that it is treating the Coronavirus as a sensitive issue. All videos shot about the Corona virus on YouTube will not be able to receive ads until the next announcement, and therefore will not be able to earn revenue from these videos.
