You hear them on the radio, see them on TV, on the side of the freeway, in your search results, and practically everywhere else.As a society, we’ve become numb to them, to the point where we install DVR with our TV packages, pop-up blockers when searching online, and subscribe to satellite radio to limit our exposure. Many of the ads we’re exposed to on a daily basis are irrelevant to our individual wants and needs. But that’s changing before our very eyes.

Is customer experience enhanced by branding e-commerce shipping boxes?

Article | March 23, 2020

While an entire marketing industry exists around the concept of experiential packaging and its impact on the customer experience, the focus has been mostly on inner boxes. The Wall Street Journal reports retailers are attempting to offset shipping costs by selling ad space via package inserts that are placed on the inside of boxes, but printing on the outside of shipping boxes still remains a largely untapped market. While the outside of corrugated shipper boxes has been largely ignored, that seems to be changing. Some retail giants, such as Amazon, are driving the trend of branding shipping boxes. 3 Facebook Ad Ideas to Get Your Content Seen by Your ‘Perfect’ Audience

Article | March 23, 2020

You have countless ways to promote your content online, but one of the most effective is Facebook ads. With over 1.8 billion daily active users, you can almost guarantee your audience is there. You just need to learn how to get your content in front of them. Given a Facebook post’s organic reach is in the single digits, your time is best spent making the advertising side work for your content. In this guide, I detail three of my most effective ways to promote content using Facebook advertising (without ever touching that boost button.) 1. Let me walk through how to set this up: Head into your Facebook ads manager and click on “create new campaign.” Pick an objective based on the content. If it’s a Facebook video, pick video views. If it’s a blog, podcast, YouTube video, or other non-Facebook content, select traffic.

Article | March 23, 2020

Note to readers: for the rest of this article, just substitute the word “brand” every time you read “friend.” I was honestly shocked that I had so many friends to start with, and that so many I hadn’t heard from in forever still had my contact details (even if all they had was my email address, and I can’t think of a less effective method of getting my attention). Nevertheless, friends started coming out of the woodwork to “touch base,” as all of us went into work-from-home isolation. At last count, over 350 friends had contacted me- and after seeing what they all had to say, I’ve noticed that there are basically three types of friend in a crisis.
