As highlighted in our Q3 2016 Global Facebook Advertising Benchmark Report, direct response marketers using Nanigans software to advertise on Facebook continue to invest heavily in the channel as a result of rising returns.Among 20 of the highest-spending ecommerce and game advertisers using Nanigans over the past year, return on ad spend (ROAS) rose by an average of 26% year-over-year in Q3 2016 – driven in part by increased adoption of video ads and Facebook’s Audience Network.

Most Advertisers Shifting, Not Canceling, Media Campaigns Amid Pandemic, Advertiser Perceptions Report Finds

While 89 percent of advertisers have been disrupted by COVID-19, only a third have canceled a campaign outright. The rest are changing their media mix and/or looking to shift their spending into the second half of the year. Despite the shifting of current media dollars, fully 81 percent of advertisers expect to cut ad budgets significantly this year, and 68 percent expect to spend less next year because of the pandemic.

Amazon Big Game Ad Tallies the Most Views via YouTube AdBlitz

YouTube revealed the five most-viewed Super Bowl LIV ads on its YouTube AdBlitz portal for Big Game spots. YouTube ads marketing cultural moments and trends lead Gina Shalavi unveiled the top five by views as of 11:59 p.m. ET Feb. 5, as well as short descriptions of the ads, in a blog post Monday. Amazon topped the list by asking, “What did we do before Alexa?” Shalavi wrote, “With a medieval theme, people cover everything, from the temperature to news to jokes, all features on Alexa.” The spot features Ellen Degeneres and Portia de Rossi. Bill Murray helped drive Jeep to the second spot with Groundhog Day, and Shalavi wrote, “Murray takes a groundhog and escapes in an orange Jeep for endless adventures.”

YouTube Will Not Show Advertising on Videos About Coronavirus

Coronavirus, which emerged in Wuhan, China, has become one of the most talked about topics in a short time. Especially on social media, many sharing and informing about Coronavirus was made. However, channels that prepare content related to Corona virus on YouTube will not be able to earn income from these videos due to the company policy. Last month, the YouTube channel Insider made a video about the Coronavirus. As of February 11, YouTube announced that it is treating the Coronavirus as a sensitive issue. All videos shot about the Corona virus on YouTube will not be able to receive ads until the next announcement, and therefore will not be able to earn revenue from these videos.
