Clinch Launches New SaaS Platform, Rebuilding the Entire Advertising Process to Bring Unparalleled Power and Efficiency To Agencies and Advertisers

Clinch | February 23, 2022

Clinch, the "Personalization Everywhere" company that leads the industry in AI-driven omnichannel personalization (DCO) and dynamic ad-serving, today announced the launch of Flight Control, the very first powerful SaaS platform built to eliminate complexity in campaign workflows and make agencies and internal brand media organizations more efficient and profitable.

Already integrated with the leading audience, data, and distribution companies like The Trade Desk, DV360, LG Ad Solutions, Facebook, OUTFRONT, LiveRamp, and others, Flight Control allows advertisers and agencies to build and run complex, highly personalized campaigns across all channels without requiring specialized knowledge or strenuous integration work.

By unifying campaign management in one end-to-end platform -- from strategy to media planning, creative to trafficking, with mid- and post-campaign analytics -- all stakeholders can work easily together, solving for the fragmentation in the current process.

By automating all channel specific workflows into one visual framework, Flight Control removes the need for technical expertise or silos for channels like CTV, OTT, programmatic, social, native, DOOH, and more. By handling all channels and phases of a campaign in one system, Flight Control eliminates delays and errors and provides unprecedented real-time analytics and predictive modeling to improve campaign performance from launch through campaign end.

"Flight Control is a representation of what Clinch has always sought to do with creative personalization from the client perspective, which is to simplify the logic-building that enables successful DCO campaigns across all channels," said Oz Etzioni, CEO of Clinch. "It's no secret that until now, the process of planning, activating and then measuring campaign performance has introduced almost as much friction into campaigns as it is intended to solve."

Many teams are already using Flight Control alongside Clinch's Smart Ad Serving, a powerful platform that provides real-time analytics and enables adjustments and optimizations throughout the lifecycle of the campaign, reporting not only on what combinations of creative elements performed but also on why they performed.

As Dynamic Creative Optimization continues to change the media landscape at a breakneck pace, we see Clinch as a standout for their focus on constant innovation to meet the demands of the market and our clients. To date, the industry has really been missing an intuitive UI to create, manage and maintain DCO campaigns across all paid media channels. We're thrilled to be the first agency to pilot Clinch's new Flight Control interface and see it as a major evolutionary tool that will take agency enablement to the next level. Flight Control is the game changer we've been waiting for."

Amy Thorne, EVP, Performance Creative Business Lead at Merkle.

Clinch has become the go-to omnichannel personalization platform for marketers across the globe. With the launch of Flight Control, Clinch intends to help the entire industry eliminate the vexing process challenges that have endangered practitioners and businesses for years.

Roku & Walmart Sign an Exclusive Shoppable Ad Deal

Roku, Walmart | June 17, 2022

Walmart and Roku have entered an exclusive ad agreement. Roku viewers can use their Roku remotes and stored payment information to buy products directly from the retailer’s ads on the platform. They won’t be redirected to Walmart’s website or need to capture QR codes on their phones to complete orders while watching their favorite shows. Walmart U.S. Chief Marketing Officer William White said that the ads would initially come from Walmart, but he expects supplier brands also to participate. “As we launch, this will be Walmart advertising,” White said. “But it certainly creates opportunities to think about how we partner with our key suppliers to bring their products and brands to life.” “As we launch, this will be Walmart advertising,” White said. “But it certainly creates opportunities to think about how we partner with our key suppliers to bring their products and brands to life.” According to Roku Head of TV Commerce Peter Hamilton, this deal will bring together a streaming platform used by about half of U.S. households and a retailer shopped by about 90% of the U.S. households. Executives from both companies declined to provide details on payment terms or revenue sharing. “Walmart is the exclusive retail partner today,” Hamilton said, “and we plan to begin testing with other brands that sell through Walmart later in the year. So, as it stands, this is an exclusive partnership.” This is a first-of-its-kind partnership between a retailer and a streaming platform. Hamilton went on to say that the ease of making purchases using a Roku remote eases the process of scanning QR codes to get to a website to complete purchases on mobile devices. This deal gives an upper hand to Walmart to compete with Amazon Prime, a major online retail and streaming platform. William White said, “There’s a tremendous runway in terms of how this can continue to evolve. Walmart was the first to market with shoppablelivestreams on TikTok, Twitter andYoutube. We were the first to market with shoppable recipes on Pinterest and first to market withTwitter native checkout. And I think it’s a natural evolution for us to move into TV.”

Dynata Expands Partnership with Google, Becoming Cross-Media Brand-Lift Measurement Partner for YouTube

Dynata | August 01, 2022

Dynata, the world's largest first-party data platform for insights, activation and measurement, today expanded its partnership with Google as a third-party brand-lift measurement provider approved to include YouTube as part of a cross-media study. Brands and agencies now can leverage Dynata's advertising solutions to measure advertising effectiveness, optimize media spend and improve marketing ROI on YouTube by analyzing the performance of their YouTube ads compared to TV, print or any other digital, social or offline media channels under measurement. Media fragmentation has made it more challenging than ever to accurately measure advertising impact across all publishers and channels. Dynata now enables any company to better understand how a campaign is influencing consumers at all levels of the purchase funnel, holistically, across all channels. In 2020, Dynata was approved to measure YouTube lift as part of a digital ad campaign using Google's Ads Data Hub. Dynata's cross-media studies — which include non-digital media channels, such as TV, radio, print and out-of-home — measure the media performance of panelists' exposure to digital ads alongside other ad types across multiple channels. For the first time, YouTube now can be included as a media channel in such studies. "Adding a premier channel, such as YouTube, into our cross-media advertising lift offerings further enhances our ability to help clients accurately and comprehensively measure advertising performance," said Dynata CEO Gary S. Laben. Comcast Advertising Reveals How Free Ad-Supported Streaming TV (F.A.S.T.) is Changing the TV Advertising Landscape

Comcast Advertising | July 25, 2022

Today, Comcast Advertising released a new report entitled “Free Ad-Supported Streaming TV: Why More Advertisers (and Consumers) Are Going F.A.S.T.” The report highlights the rise of free ad-supported streaming TV (F.A.S.T.) and its value to advertisers today as a complement to traditional TV and streaming advertising plans. As one of the newest forms of over-the-top (OTT), F.A.S.T. provides consumers with streaming services that also feature linear-style channels, encouraging a lean-back experience and content discovery that mimics traditional TV viewing. According to the report, F.A.S.T. penetration among households has more than doubled year-over-year. Today, six out of 10 households who have connected TVs are using F.A.S.T. services exclusively or in addition to other services – getting a TV-like viewing experience without the costs or logins required for linear TV or paid streaming. “F.A.S.T. is a rapidly growing ad-supported medium for consumers to watch and discover premium streaming content in an environment that mimics linear TV,” said James Rooke, President, Comcast Advertising. “F.A.S.T. is a rapidly growing ad-supported medium for consumers to watch and discover premium streaming content in an environment that mimics linear TV,” said James Rooke, President, Comcast Advertising. “As advertisers look to efficiently maximize their reach in an increasingly fragmented viewing landscape, F.A.S.T services are a valuable complement to traditional TV and other AVOD streaming options as part of a holistic multi-screen media plan.” The report looks at new trends from F.A.S.T. provider XUMO and reveals that the average XUMO user spends about 104 minutes within the platform once they have entered. Many consumers may be landing on F.A.S.T. channels without even realizing it, as many are programmed directly into the channel guide by TV manufacturers. Not surprisingly, 70 percent of XUMO users are cord cutters, relying on XUMO as a complement to subscription video-on-demand (SVOD) services. According to the report, advertisers and programmers alike are seeing the value of F.A.S.T services today. According to Horizon Media, “the F.A.S.T. industry has grown exponentially and overlaps quite a bit now with what traditional TV has to offer in terms of both content and audience. Advertising on F.A.S.T. allows us to reach our targeted audience and is a valuable complement to our TV budget.” Amanda Garcia, Senior Director of Partnerships at Paramount+, adds, “As customers find more ways to watch the content they love across a mix of services, F.A.S.T. channels have become a key part of our media mix for acquisition and awareness, as well as targeted campaigns to super-serve key audiences.” About Comcast Advertising Comcast Advertising is the advertising division of Comcast Cable.
