Xandr, GumGum | May 05, 2022

Contextual Targeting from GumGum
Xandr has recently announced that it will avail GumGum's Verity contextual and model security know-how accessible to its shoppers.

GumGum and Xandr had collaborated since 2012 when GumGum's supply-side platform was connected to Xandr's "Make investments" DSP. Xandr is a part of AT&T that provides a global marketplace for premium advertising. Whereas GumGum is a contextual-first global digital advertising platform that captures people's attention without the use of personal data.

Xandr and GumGum's collaboration will give advertisers a certified cookieless solution that is transparent, effective, and results-driven. In addition, the combination of Verity and Xandr's extensive premium advertising marketplace will allow businesses to ensure that their ads are presented in contextually relevant surroundings.

"GumGum will be the first new contextual provider added to any major DSP in years, which signals the true shift to contextual that is happening in the industry today," said William Merchan, GumGum's Head of Verity.

"GumGum will be the first new contextual provider added to any major DSP in years, which signals the true shift to contextual that is happening in the industry today," said William Merchan, GumGum's Head of Verity. "Expanding our partnership with Xandr to offer our accredited contextual technology directly in their platform is exciting and allows us to give advertisers what they want - a cookieless solution that is proven, transparent, and effective at scale."

GumGum will now be accessible for pre-bid targeting via Xandr's Invest DSP and Xandr Curate, dramatically boosting GumGum's reach and scale. GumGum will now process more than 100 million pages per day and more than 9 billion queries per day just from Xandr. Advertisers will be able to activate Verity on Monetize SSP supply on practically any DSP using Xandr Curate. Advertisers who use Xandr's Invest DSP will be able to use GumGum's contextual intelligence solution for brand safety, contextual segments, keywords, and sentiment to strategically align their advertisements with relevant content to drive attention and brand memory.

"Many advertisers are integrating contextual targeting into their campaigns as they look to the future of digital advertising. Our integration of Verity further enhances Xandr's holistic identity offering by giving our buyers the ability to target their key audience with a sophisticated pre-bid solution that allows for multi-purpose use cases including brand safety, IAB categorization, threat classification and sentiments expressed," said Dylan McBride, Global Head of Partnerships, Xandr.

"Verity is the only accredited contextual intelligence solution to combine natural language processing (NLP) with computer vision (CV) and assess all the signals within an environment including text, image, audio, and video. Verity's capability to understand videos at a content level will be critical as more contextual signals for CTV video becomes increasingly accessible to DSPs," said William Merchan, GumGum's Head of Verity.

Currently, this integration is only available in the United States. In addition, Playground XYZ, a GumGum subsidiary, is also integrated with Xandr, allowing advertisers to use both GumGum's contextual technology and Playground's attention technology in their campaigns.

Permutive & OpenX Partner to Help Marketers Target Global Audiences Accurately and at Scale Without Third-Party Cookies

Permutive, OpenX | November 08, 2022

Permutive, a privacy-safe audience platform for publishers and advertisers, and OpenX Technologies, Inc., a leading global omnichannel advertising exchange, today unveiled a partnership that will enable buyers and sellers of online advertising to build and activate global audiences without using third-party cookies or device IDs while preserving the safety and security of user data. The Permutive/OpenX partnership strengthens the connection between publishers and marketers by efficiently delivering addressable and scalable advertising inventory to buyers while allowing publishers to maintain control of and monetise their first-party data. The collaboration offers marketers in the US and internationally a single, privacy-safe point of access to identify and reach audiences with precision and transparency at scale. Activation is easily enabled through OpenX Deal IDs, and audience targeting relies on privacy-protected, first-party publisher data. The OpenX Exchange processes more than 300 billion ad requests a day across a network of more than 130,000 domains. Permutive’s Audience Platform delivered over 20 billion targeted impressions in 2021 via publisher-owned, consented data and with no third-party cookies entering the bidstream. The announcement comes at an inflection point for the industry as consumers are increasingly opting out of sharing their information with advertisers. With nearly 7o percent of today’s open web unaddressable, this partnership satisfies the growing market demand for actionable first-party data that follows consistent and transparent build criteria, thereby simplifying activation and providing streamlined access to readily available and fully addressable audience segments. “Across the expanse of the open web, where media is highly fragmented, finding and engaging audiences in a privacy-friendly manner is both the challenge and imperative of digital marketing,” said John Gentry, chief executive officer of OpenX. “Across the expanse of the open web, where media is highly fragmented, finding and engaging audiences in a privacy-friendly manner is both the challenge and imperative of digital marketing,” said John Gentry, chief executive officer of OpenX. “Joining forces with Permutive allows us to unlock unique value for buyers and publishers through precision targeting that is safe and secure.” “As consumers have more choices and tools to opt-out of sharing their data for advertising, privacy-safe audience targeting without the need for third-party cookies provides much-needed addressability solutions for publishers and advertisers,” said Joe Root, co-founder and chief executive officer of Permutive. “Our partnership with OpenX is a powerful example of ad tech working together to empower advertisers and publishers to harness the full potential of first-party data while creating a more transparent and responsible web.” The partnership offers more than 200 standardised behavioural cohorts, evaluated in real time – for example, real estate, travel, automotive, pets, and fashion and beauty – and is mapped to the industry-standard IAB Audience Taxonomy that identifies and describes segmented audiences based on similar interests, characteristics and behaviours. MobileFuse Unveils Latest SDK and Mediation Adapters, Provides New Premium Inventory and Advertising Solutions to Publishers and Advertisers

MobileFuse | December 16, 2022

MobileFuse, one of the largest in-app, CTV, and DOOH advertising platforms, today unveiled its latest mobile SDK, mediation adapters, and proprietary video player. These solutions reduce friction and enable all mobile app publishers and mediation platforms to access MobileFuse's premium inventory and secure more revenue. The MobileFuse SDK and mediation adapters showcase the company's commitment to providing publishers and advertisers with innovative tools that drive results. Current publishing partners successfully implemented the new SDK in minutes, and saw fill rates more than double. Additionally their eCPMs grew by 20% or more over similar placements not utilizing an SDK. These results occurred whether a publisher managed their own ad waterfall, or used a major mediation platform. With the SDK, app publishers can now access: duoBid: Allows advertisers to run video ads in previously slated, larger static banner inventory, enabling them to have additional access to video scale at a lower cost. Additionally, since duoBid selects the best performing ad regardless of whether it is static or video, publishers secure higher CPMs and maximize revenue opportunities. Proprietary Video Player: Offers a state-of-the art video player, specifically designed for in-app mobile experiences. It comes equipped with full VAST capabilities, ensuring publishers will not need to support their own video player for ads moving through MobileFuse, tapping into new ways to monetize and drive revenue. Rich Media Support: Supports the latest version of MRAID, ensuring the best user experience for interactive and dynamic ads. Lightweight: Delivers industry leading performance; MobileFuse's SDK adds under 1 MB of weight to an app. This is significantly below the average weight of a typical mobile SDK. Bleeding Edge Technology: In addition to MRAID and duoBid capabilities, the MobileFuse SDK supports the latest and greatest mobile technologies, such as OMSDK and VAST. This ensures users have the best performance and insights possible. "MobileFuse's SDK, integrated through a AppLovin MAX Custom Adapter, has yielded immediate success for our app. The SDK is generating higher fill rates, eCPM, CTR, and five times more revenue on a similar amount of bid requests than our oRTB connection," said Amy Nicole Hernandez, CFO & VP Business Operations at TextMe. "The implementation process was easy, and their team was responsive and always willing to help along the way." MobileFuse's proprietary video player is exclusively available through the SDK, however the company's mediation adapters simplify the process of integrating with leading mediation platforms. "We're driving innovation, and are at the forefront of bringing new inventory options to publishers and advertisers alike. Additionally, our SDK and mediation adapters set a new industry standard for ease of integration and performance," said Ken Harlan, founder and CEO of MobileFuse. "We are proud to address the evolving needs of our customers, and to remain vigilant around consumer privacy." About MobileFuse MobileFuse is one of the largest in-app advertising and CTV platforms.
