In our previous study, we found that 2016 was a turning point for B2B’s use of programmatic technologies. Respondents to that survey went from not understanding the benefits of automated ad-buying to making it an integral part of their marketing toolkit. They realized that there was more to programmatic than simply retargeting someone who showed interest in a pair of shoes. It could be used to build demand for B2B products and services and deliver the highly defined targeting B2B campaigns require. This year’s results may not appear as dramatic, but they clearly demonstrate that programmatic ad buying is now part of the B2B mainstream.
